Philadelphia Yellow Jackets Announce Partnership with The IGL – Indoor Gridiron League
Philadelphia’s Newest Professional Football Team, The Philadelphia Yellow Jackets formally announce the partnership with The IGL – Indoor Gridiron League along with the hiring of Adam Turkel as the league’s Commissioner.

The IGL – Indoor Gridiron League is a Developmental Indoor Football league, which is owned by JAKIB Media Partners and operates as a developmental league to help athletes pursues their dreams of playing professional football. In 2012, the IGL entered into a partnership with the Philadelphia Soul & the league has utilized the partnership with the Arena Football League’s Philadelphia Soul, making the league the first minor indoor league to be sponsored by a professional team. The Soul Partnership was extended into the 2013 Season. The IGL would then expand in partnership with AFL China, while also heavily supporting the Inaugural Army Veterans vs. Navy Veterans Arena Football Game in 2013 & 2014.

“Without semi-pro football, there would be no Arena Football League,” said AFL commissioner Jerry Kurz back in 2012 when the partnership was created. “Nearly 100 percent of the players used in the original test games of Arena Football were taken from minor league teams. This is an opportunity for players that didn’t make the league’s limited roster spaces to hone their skills and continue to play football to get to the next level.”
